Scott Hogg and Associates specialize in diamond exploration--with several decades of experience looking for kimberlites and lamproites in several countries, in almost any imaginable geological setting.
At the Seventieth Annual Meeting of the SEG in Calgary, Scott Hogg

In 1993, Spider and KWG Resources were exploring for kimberlites in the James Bay Lowlands of Ontario. Logistics were difficult, making routine ground magnetic survey very slow and expensive. As consultants to Spider/KWG, Scott Hogg and Associates developed a procedure that collected high resolution, low level aeromagnetics by helicopter.
Interpretation of the data and drill site location services led to the discovery of five diamondiferous kimberlite pipes, a massive sulphide and a gold prospect beneath up to 150m of dolomite cover that totally masked any potential geochemical signature and exceeded the reach of airborne EM.
